Christine Fisher

Christine Fisher

Christine Fisher became involved with the American Lung Association in 1997. She and her husband, Tad, founded Creative Political Foundations, Inc. The couple's expertise was anchored in the healthcare arena and brought together their joint experience in political consulting, professional healthcare lobbying, strategic planning, public affairs programming and grassroots strategies affecting the healthcare industry.

The Lung Association became one of their many clients when working to amend the Florida Constitution to prohibit smoking in public places, including workplaces. Protecting people from secondhand smoke was more than a job for Chris...it was, and still is, her passion.

In 2002, they gave up their lobbying work allowing Chris to become one of the Lung Association's most active volunteers. Chris has served on the Lung Association, Southeast Region's Advocacy Committee since 2005 and is the current chair of both the Regionwide Advocacy Committee and the Florida Advocacy Committee as well as serving on the National Public Policy Committee.

For years, Chris served as the Advocacy & Professional Relations Consultant for Pfizer, a position which she leveraged to secure just over $80,000 in grant funding for a variety of Lung Association programs. Most recently, she secured a $12,500 gift to promote and support smoking cessation advocacy in Florida.

Chris has an extraordinary reputation within Florida. Many health organizations, including the American Cancer Society Consumer Action Network and the American Heart Association, continue to utilize Chris' skills as a grasstops organizer to gain support for causes helping underserved populations. She is quick to offer solutions and strategic counsel and backs up her ideas with action.

She is a true volunteer.
