Jon Rosen is founder and president of Impact Communications, a Wilton, CT-based presentation and media training practice providing workshops and private coaching for senior executives and sales professionals from the private, nonprofit and public sectors for the past 38 years. He's published numerous articles on media training, crisis planning, crisis management and crisis communication and has been quoted frequently on presentation and news media interviewing techniques in a broad spectrum of publications ranging from airline magazines to trade journals.
Before forming Impact Communications, Rosen was an award-winning television news journalist at WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, where he was a line producer and assignment editor; WABC-TV in New York, where he was assistant news director and managed the special projects unit; and "Good Morning America," where he was a field producer/director. During his 13-year career in television news he’s been recognized by his fellow journalists with an Emmy nomination, the New York Press Club Feature Award and the International Television Festival of New York Gold Medal. He was also a two-time recipient of the Outstanding Broadcast Service Award of the New York City Council of Churches.
Rosen has been a volunteer leader of the American Lung Association at the national, regional and local levels for the past 35 years and received a Volunteer Excellence Award from the nationwide organization in June 2018. His primary focus has been on fund development, marketing, media relations and advocacy at the state and federal levels.
This is Rosen's third term as a member of the National Board. He has also served on the Chairs Assembly, the Nationwide Assembly and the National Council and on the boards of Hudson Valley, New York, where he was Board Chair; New York State, New York and the Northeast Region, where he was Vice Chair from 2013 to 2015, Board Chair from 2015 to 2017 and currently serves as Past Chair.
Rosen is an honors graduate of NYU's University College of Arts & Sciences and lives in Wilton, CT.
