Participating in lung events is very important to me because I lost my mom, Laura Anderson, to lung cancer on December 1, 2012. I was very fortunate to have had my mom for three years after she was diagnosed in 2009. Going through what I did made me change. Lung cancer is my passion now. I do not want people to have to go through what my family and I did. I want to help put a stopper to this horrid disease and raise awareness for it.
My mother was always so happy, strong, and optimistic. She will always be my hero and I am going to do my part and keep her legacy alive!
