Cora H., TN

Lung cancer became a name in my world in 1994 when my maternal grandmother was diagnosed at the age of 49. She survived only two months after her diagnosis. Since then it has taken my grandfather in 2008, a great aunt in 2001, another great aunt in 2005, my great uncle in 2008 and finally it took one of my best friends in May of 2012.

She was diagnosed with non small cell lung carcinoma at the age of 46. We received this news on December 24, 2010. She went through every treatment available including an experimental drug. She lost her fight May 28, 2012.
