I'm 3 1/2 year NED of adenocarcinoma (Stage IIA N0M0). I want to share some help with others facing a diagnosis. There were so many things that I didn't know, and wish I had.
I wrote the book The Cancer Card, Dealing with a Diagnosis to try and see if I could be of any help to those just starting out. Kirkus review says: "Reflective, upbeat, and hopeful; offers honest insight into the real trials and tribulations of a cancer patient as well as valuable advice for those facing treatment." I included a terminology (I had no idea how to speak the language of cancer) and some resources that I learned about after I was through treatments -- there are many, many people out there who are eager to help. Please let me know if I can be of any to anyone out there. Wishing you all the best.
