Linda S., RI

My cousin was diagnosed with lung cancer when she was 63 years old.

She had been admitted to the hospital for other health issues and started having seizures while in the hospital, so they started doing tests and found out that she had a mass in her lungs and also in her brain. After many tests and consultations they decided to treat her brain issues first so she underwent massive chemo for 6 months. At the end of the treatments there was no improvement and her health continued to deteriorate. She decided not to pursue further treatments and succumbed to this horrible disease just about a year after she was diagnosed.

Her friends and family miss her every day. Marie was a wonderful, caring, loving person who should not have died this way. Our prayer is that others can be spared through research and education done by the American Lung Association.
