I'm a Stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer warrior. I'm 60 years old and was diagnosed 7 years ago. Because I was a nonsmoker my doctors refused to even consider lung cancer. Maybe if I had the biopsy earlier I wouldn't have been diagnosed at Stage 3. After surgery, chemo, radiation, 2 experimental treatments, and three other kinds of daily treatment pills, I'm still fighting. I have a wonderful support system of 4 daughters, a husband, mother, 5 sisters and a whole community of friends. My group at Huntsman Cancer Center is my "Plan B" team, they always come up with something else to try. I am blessed! Instead of getting one year, I've had 7, and besides the side effects, I have a full life of making more memories with family and friends. Fight on warriors and JUST BREATHE!
