Traci Gonzales is a pediatric nurse practitioner with Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas.  

Gonzales received her undergraduate nursing degree from McNeese State University and her master's degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. In 2013, she joined the Pediatric Pulmonary Division of McGovern Medical School and later transitioned to the High Risk Children's Clinic where she served as director of the UT High Risk Children’s Outpatient Pulmonary Diagnostic Lab. In 2019, she joined the Complex Care Clinic at Texas Children’s Hospital, where she uses both her pulmonary expertise and her primary care training to provide primary care to children with complex medical needs.

Gonzales's research and clinical interests include pediatric asthma, primary ciliary dyskinesia, pediatric sleep disorders and mechanical ventilation. She has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications regarding novel treatments and advances in pediatric pulmonary medicine. 

Along with her expertise in pediatric asthma, Gonzales has additional expertise in the health effects of air pollution, harms of tobacco use, youth smoking rates, secondhand smoke exposure, general asthma, children's lung health, exercise and lung disease, nutrition and lung health, bronchiectasis and primary ciliary dyskinesia.
