I am 75 and have lived in the four-corners area since 1992. I am not a smoker and have never worked in a dangerous occupation. I was a librarian for 35 years, so library dust is the most difficult environmental pollutant I have faced.
Yet, today I have serious breathing problems. My fear is that the pollution from the power plants in Northwest New Mexico has so severely polluted the air I have been breathing since 1992 that I am now suffering damage that is not repairable.
I don't deserve this. It makes me angry that coal-fired power plants have polluted here for decades.
