I was born to a 13-year-old girl who received no prenatal care in August of 1978 in Baltimore, MD. My awesome parents then adopted me at 9-months-old.
I was diagnosed with asthma before the age of 3 and was on different medications to help manage my symptoms. I now have an inhaler and take it when I need it, which is mostly during the fall and spring or before I workout.
I am thankful for the care I have received by my doctors to help me keep my asthma under control. I am also thankful that my condition has improved although I still have my asthma makes it difficult to breathe.
I pray for cleaner air for myself and for all of those who suffer from lung disease.
