I was so surprised to learn that only one city in my state had clean air. I think as one of the largest states on the coast with a reputation for forward thinking we can do better.

I have two college age daughters, and I would like to believe that the air they breathe wouldn't present health risks, no matter where they live in the United States. Are we headed for Mexico City or Shanghai?!

Our national, state, and local governments have to do better to curb air pollution and raise awareness in spite of any adverse economic effects. Let's get creative. Let's be responsible.
